A wedding weekend

What do you get when you put three kids three and under together with a hotel, lots of family and a wedding?

Lots of fun. Lots of celebrating. Not enough pictures. And definitely not enough sleep.

To recap in a few words...Josie and Nick got married this weekend!
Since I was busy with baby most of the time, I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I normally do (this is the only shot of the bride and groom I have from the day of the wedding!). But I did capture some great moments and get some great pictures.

While I put Madeline down at the hotel, Craig went to the rehearsal and I met up with everyone for the dinner. Christopher was the ring bearer and was absolutely adorable. I asked him to take a picture with us and he happily obliged. Since it was past his bedtime, he was kind of out there. He had a disposable coffee cup filled with water and when you asked him what he was drinking, he replied, "decaf!"

Madeline didn't sleep too well (but considering we were in a hotel and she was in her pack n play, she didn't sleep too poorly either), but I kept her to her routine. She is also incredibly shy. She gets overwhelmed with lots of people and excitement very easily. Actually, it doesn't take too much to get her going and the combination of a different location and lots of people who wanted to hold her, really did her in at times. I do think it's good for her to socialize though. She'll get there eventually.

Madeline and Andrew shared a banana. She still didn't like the banana. Oh, I haven't mentioned that the only food she's rejected is bananas. She'll gobble up peas but refuses to eat bananas. Weird.
I actually paid to get my hair done, although it ended up in a pony tail because you couldn't tell I had anything done to it. I'll never learn that my hair doesn't hold curl. Oh well!

Here's the elder part of the family. Tia Josie and Tia Mackie are the young ones, so I'll call us the old ones. This was taken at the end of the reception. The reception was filled with delicious food and great adult beverages. I sipped on a few, but because I didn't know when Madeline would wake up (and I knew she would wake up), I didn't drink anything. I don't think twice about nursing after a caffeinated beverage, but I do think twice about nursing after a glass of wine, so I just don't drink. At any rate, the reception was fun (people danced! Including us old folks!) and beautiful and delicious!

Poor little girl had a rough weekend and on the way home, threw up in her car seat. I saw what I thought was spit up in the mirror, but then it kept coming and the screams that came next were awful. I was traveling on the freeway, alone because Craig was taking his brother's family back to the airport, and Madeline was so upset. That has to be the worst. A baby throwing up in the car seat and you can't do anything. I know I don't feel great after puking and I know she wanted some TLC. I pulled over as soon as I could and she looked pale. I gave her some love and headed home. Shortly after, she started to look better and started to act better too. I guess she needed to throw up. Poor baby.

And I leave you with one last picture of my darling princess. She kept losing a shoe the entire night. Just one shoe. I called her my Cinderella.
