We went to Target some time back and I saw the little toilets all lined up in a row. I had Madeline pick one out and she happily picked out the frog. I'm not one to push potty training. I just don't think it's worth the stress for Madeline or me. The reality is I don't think she's ready because she doesn't care one iota if she's wet (and since she's in cloth she feels the wetness) and typically doesn't care of she's pooped in her diaper either. She's not ready. She is aware of what's going on and where mama and daddy go to the bathroom, but it's not for her.
Well, the frog toilet is now a toy. She's actually never sat on it without a diaper on and she always takes out the plastic piece that actually holds the urine and BM. I've tried to tell her that you go "wee-wee" (not my favorite term, but Craig taught it to her and she understand it so I'm not about to go changing it!) in the frog toilet, and her reply is this each and every time:
"Mama, frog wee-wee!"
Definitely not ready.
