OK, so this is really, really funny. I rarely gripe to customer service peeps (mainly because it usually doesn't get you anywhere), but the whole fly in my eye makeup remover was something I just had to respond to.So, I first sent an email...I actually got a response with the "we're terribly sorry you had an unwanted experience with one of our products..." They also requested I send the product back because "The return of the product helps us understand and research your complaint." I don't know what there is to research - a fly landed inside the jar! Whatever, they are just making sure I am not fabricating the problem. Be honest with me people!
I decided to play the game with Almay and sent the half-used jar of remover pads, complete with the stow away, back to them. That's right, I used half the jar before I discovered the fly.
In a very expedient manner (as in less than a week after I sent the jar back), I received a check in the mail for $7.14 "as a gesture of good will." Excuse me for a moment while I laugh.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I think it's REALLY funny that I get a $7 check - that was supposed to cover the cost of postage and the product. The kicker was that by depositing the check, I waive all future complaints, yadda, yadda, and Revlon and all subsidiaries are not liable for this complaint...
Seriously.
I know I uploaded a picture of the fly before, but I just had to do it again with this post.

seven dollars, huh?
you should totally send this story in to jezebel.com. they LOVE this kind of stuff, and then maybe almay will notice and feel bad and give you, like, a lifetime supply.
