Welcome home old friend, I've missed you

Vista is gone. Craig and I decided to delete Vista and reinstall XP, or rather, we decided to pay professionals to do it.

For $79.99 the IT professionals at Fry's Electronics deleted my Vista OS and replaced it with my old XP. I said before that Microsoft was smart...apparently a downgrade doesn't work on a new system as well as you would think. By all logic, a downgrade should run smoother, but the Microsoft Nazi Team creates the newer programs to sabotage your system when you downgrade. My new system came loaded with 4 GB RAM and XP can't be installed without wiping out one of those precious GB. The laptop also will not support the 64-bit version of XP, thus I am forced into the 32-bit version.

To be completely honest, I have no idea what the difference is between the versions, but I am happy to have XP back - and to have my laptop free of all the junk and crap HP pre-loaded that I don't need or want. If anyone can inform me of the reasons behind a newer system not supporting an older program and forcing me to downgrade, please feel free to reach out and let me know!!!!!

At any rate, welcome back XP...I've missed you!
