Craig and I went to the zoo this weekend. We were able to get a close up of the elephants, or at least one of them. This is Kelly, she is a 35-year-old African elephant, who came to the zoo from Africa when she was about three. We took turns feeding her veggies and fruit.
There was a bird habitat that we went into and half of the birds were caged and half were not. This pretty little thing landed right next to us.
And I made Craig pose as a
meerkat...and he didn't seem to mind at all!
This is probably my favorite picture from our time at the zoo. There were a few baby gorillas and mama was tending to them all. If you look closely, you'll see that she's nursing.
