Little victories!

Well, our little Miss Madeline is starting to show signs that she knows the difference between night and day. She used to be wired after the 3-4 am feeding. Recently, she nurses, is changed, swaddled, rocked briefly and falls right back to sleep. It's a victory in my book because I am up for less than an hour. I want to track her progress, and the blog is the easiest outlet for me, so this is just a quick post. But what post would be complete without a picture? (This is for you, mom!)

Bryce, the daughter of a couple in our small group Bible study, was born a mere 11 days before Madeline. Bryce and her mother came over this week for a "play date." We called it a play date, when in actuality it was Mama respite. We had lunch and chocolate brownies and adult conversation between crying babies, diaper changes and feedings. We have another "play date" already scheduled for next week.

At first, the girls were happy but refused to look at each other.
But happiness turned to fussiness for Madeline because she was hungry.

Thank you, Jennifer! Love the pictures of these two little baby girls that almost look like twins.
What a great idea to have the 'ply date'.

Give Maddie a squeeze from her Gran.
