Madeline wants to be mobile on two appendages and not all four. Try as she might, she still doesn't get it, but I have seen her take a few very cautious steps, especially if she doesn't realize she's doing it. I have yet to capture it on camera because it's too rare and she won't repeat the action once I locate the Flip.
A couple of weeks ago, she started pulling out the baskets that organize her toys, dumping the toys and using the basket as a walker. This was all her idea and it works better than the walker we have. She can't steer the walker but she can steer the basket and she burns a path that spans three different rooms. If she gets stuck, she can generally figure out how to resume cruising. I think she's got talent! Also note the end of the video when she starts chewing on the window sill. I know how that can turn out and when the crib guards didn't fit on her crib, I found an alternative for them. They fit perfectly on the sill!
She's also pulled out a chair and used it, too. It's a lot bulkier and more difficult to get behind - she has to pull the chair out from under the table - and it does get stuck. It's a cute video nonetheless. Please excuse her pant-less bottom. It was the end of the day and it's just easier to remove her shorts :-) I like the green though!
I also forgot to mention in her 10 month post that she has six teeth now and I believe there are two more coming. Her teething symptoms are all there - fever, grinding her teeth, gnawing on everything and biting me while nursing.
That last one is my favorite.
