We're having a BOY! Everything is good in the baby-land and everything checked out OK in the ultrasound. Who would have known that I would have been more nauseous and sick with a boy versus a girl?
I have to admit that the ultrasound was kind of a letdown though. The tech wasn't good at all. I mean, I *know* the purpose is to check out all the organs and development and stuff, but it's so exciting to see the little peanut and the tech was just kind of blah. She didn't turn the screen towards me so I couldn't see hardly a thing and she didn't talk about what she was looking at because she was all business. Madeline's 20 week ultrasound was fabulous and the pictures and imagery were clear, especially the video. It was even more of a disappointment because my in-laws were there for the ultrasound and I'm pretty sure they couldn't make out a single thing.
But, the baby is developing properly and we're thrilled. AND, here's the money shot!
And because the spine always amazes me, here's the spine image.
To round out the pictures we took home, here's one of our little boy with his mouth open.
I'm feeling him roll around more and more, but I have to be still/sitting. It's nice to feel him rolling and moving around inside me now :-) Truly my favorite part of being pregnant!

I hear that having a girl first and a boy second is the thing to do. Just sayin'.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Our tech is also all business (she's been at the practice for 27 years), so much so that the OBs admonish patients to make sure to not ask her what the sex of the baby is at all. She'll tell when she's ready. You don't get to watch the screen while she's working, but she'll turn it around briefly at the end.
AND, the spine pictures are my favorite, too!
I'm so excited for you and yours!
