I simply cannot believe I'm in the my third trimester. And I think the last trimester is going to fly by with all the holiday travel and festivities. Craig told me that he's going to put up the Christmas tree while I'm in Houston with Madeline. I was thinking it was WAY too early, but then he pointed out that we'll be returning after Thanksgiving. Woah. I need to get a jump on Christmas shopping in a major way! All the Texas gifts will most likely be purchased online and I'll have them shipped directly to my parent's or sister's house and they can wrap them for me. I think I've gotten off on a tangent...I also see my new practice tomorrow, which I am very excited about! Back to baby boy...
He kicks sideways, so I suspect he isn't head down yet. I'm not worried and I could actually be wrong about this. Hopefully the midwife can feel externally tomorrow and determine what position he's in. Kicks are all over the place though, and when he's active, he's ACTIVE. Things are just going to get tighter from here on out, so enjoy it while you can, little buddy!
I'm still feeling pretty good. I attribute it to sleeping well. I didn't sleep well with Madeline at all - the entire pregnancy really, but I can fall asleep and wake 1-3 times a night with this little one. It's amazing to sleep in a four hour stretch without having to waddle to the bathroom!
I don't think I'm retaining water yet and my rings still fit perfectly. I do think I need to get a movin' a lot more. It's so hard to MOVE since I work from home and everything I do is on the computer. Once the time change hits, I am really going to make a concerted effort to get up in the mornings and walk. It'll be cold, but I want to prepare for this birth and movement is critical.
I'm hungry. So much of the time! And the scale is reflecting that! ha! I'm one of those pregnant women who steadily gains the entire pregnancy and I'll probably be up at least 40 pounds by the time its all said and done. I think I gained more with Madeline but I'm not on track to be as heavy as I was with her, and I even started heavier, so I'm not concerned about the pounds. Hopefully they'll eventually come off :-)
Cravings: Milk. And most recently, brussel sprouts. Weird. I typically eat a Greek yogurt a day, which is good since it not only gives my body a dose of calcium, but also lots of protein. I had no idea it had double the protein as regular yogurt, but I'm hooked.
I really do think the rest of this pregnancy is going to fly by...between flying to Texas for Thanksgiving, and the craziness of the holidays, it's going to be the new year before I know it and I'll have a few weeks left. Officially, the due date is Jan 24th, but my gut tells me that I'm going to be in the hospital on my birthday. That means that I could go into labor on January 11, 12 or 13, and the baby could be born anytime on the 11-15. I don't have a specific feeling on the date like I did with Madeline (which I was dead on!), but I just feel like I'm going to celebrate my birthday with a baby in my arms or in labor. I don't really feel like he's going to be born on my birthday, but he could be born on my brother-in-law's birthday on the 15th. Anyone want to make a guess?
My birthday is January 13th.
Brother-in-law's birthday is January 15th.
Nephew's birthday is January 25th.
Due date is January 24th.

Aunt Kristina is Jan 8, her son Ray is January 14. Your due date was January 28. I think January 11 sounds good to me! Go for it!
I'm a big fan of the 13. :) My brother-in-law, father-in-law, and aunt-in-law (f-i-l's baby sister) were all born on July 13. It's a good prime day for sharing a birthday. :) And, though I don't share a birthday with a family member, I'm a 13, too.
And we're also going to the Great State of Texas for Thanksgiving! But we're driving...
