Christmas in Texas

I need to get a few 2012 things posted prior to Gabe's first birthday...and I'm hoping to play catch up this week!

We spent almost two full weeks in Texas for Christmas. It was a very busy trip, and I always envision things going smoothly, and if it weren't for two sick kiddos, one of which was teething, it would have been smooth.  But such is life with kids.  For the first week, we didn't venture out much and just stayed home - which was fine with me.

The highlight reel (I only have pictures from one camera, not both that were clicking away, so there's lots missing):

Time with the grandparents. It was so much fun to see my kids with my parents! Since they live so far away, it doesn't happen nearly as often as I wish.

Gabe exploring a new house. Nonstop.

Lots and lots of time with daddy.  There can never be enough of it and both kids loved having him around so much.

Time with aunts and uncles.

Finding that Madeline had put all her underwear on Ashes.

The look on my dad's face opening his gift.

This.

And this.

And this! (more to come on this series of photos)

Happy.

Build-a-Bear fun.

A very quick trip with a dear friend.

And so much more.  Time with Katie, coffee with Ashley, and meeting Vicky's newest blessing, seeing a few high school friends, having Madeline tell me her favorite part of Christmas was going to church - she was so excited to see a real baby Jesus and noticed Joseph and Mary right away, Madeline "reading" the Christmas story to my parents, watching her new Tinkerbell movie with the family (which is still a HUGE hit), seeing my little sister's fancy apartment and having dinner at her place, being there for Ethan's third birthday, and so much more!

Thanks for the memories!
