I cannot believe she's four months old. My little baby is really not so little anymore and she's certainly out of that "blob" phase.
Crazy.
I've seen the biggest difference between months three and four so far. In the past month Madeline has really changed and developed.
- She can now roll from her back to her belly. In fact, it's more common than not for her to practice this new found skill and promptly roll over when she's put down on her back. Currently, she can only roll over her left shoulder, but I see that quickly changing because I've seen her try (and almost succeed) rolling over her right shoulder.
I was wondering how long it would take for her to figure out that she can now move. Today, I placed her on the far left of the blanket and sent off a few work emails. I turned around and she was on the far right. She also rolled under the futon. Silly girl. I have to be more careful what's on the floor next to her now!
- She will now suck a pacifier. Thank goodness.
- She loves making noises. Hilarious noises. She also slobbers all over the place.
- She will get up on her toes and try to scoot. She currently balances on her head, but I know she'll figure out that she can use her hands, too.
- She gets the hiccups everyday. Or at least it seems like everyday. She gets them when she's excited and happy and at other times, too. (I also get the hiccups when I laugh)
And speaking of laughs....
Madeline also has the best laugh. And I've learned that a parent will repeat an action over and over and over and over again to hopefully hear that little laugh. Craig and I both have done it.
It melts my heart.

Oh boy...Josh is majorly crushing on that cutie! He was laughing hysterically!! And then he kept saying, "the lady said BOO!" :)
Ow, what a sweet laugh! 4 months is great because they're fun and not very mobile. You can put them down and they're still in the same vicinity where you left them. :)
