Watching her grow

I had every intention of finishing this amazing growth chart right after Madeline was born, but the final image remained on my camera for quite some time. I finally got around to finishing this over the Christmas break.

I cannot remember being this big, but the pictures don't lie. It's amazing what a woman's body does to accommodate a growing life. When I set out to take these pictures, I was determined to not miss a single week starting at 12 weeks. I did miss one week - week 25 - due to business travel. I also committed to not photoshop out any stretch marks. The pregnancy process is beautiful, despite the permanent side effects. All in all, I think it turned out pretty fantastic. Looking back at these pictures makes me feel like there's a really good excuse as to why the skin just isn't quite the same anymore :-)
Bonus points go to you if you can see where the stretch marks first appeared on my belly. Click to enlarge. Blogger wouldn't allow me to upload this as one image, so there's a little cropping going on. Thanks Jen for the inspiration!!!

39 Weeks? I almost made it to the end without stretch marks...it was the last week or two that did me in. Haha.

Guess again.

I had the advantage of the original files so I could really zoom in.

My stretch marks elsewhere on my body appeared at 12 weeks...let's just say that my belly did pretty well.
