Do you know what Madeline did the other day?
She bit my mole! I have a grand total of one raised mole and she gravitates towards it. All the time. It's on my right upper arm and I typically hold her on my right side. She regularly blows raspberries on my arm and one day she just up and bit down on the mole. Hurt like the dickens and bled like crazy. It's still swollen on one side and separated from my arm. It looks lovely, I tell you! Ahh, the joys of motherhood.

In other news, I got my first plugged duct in four months. I immediately said a pray of thanks. It had been four months since my string of back-to-back plugs. I know everything you're supposed to do, so I put it in action. I also know that Madeline doesn't nurse on me for comfort anymore and she won't tolerate a plug. I prayed that she would nurse it out quickly. I waited until right before a nap and my prayers were answered! Just like that! I know she's got a much stronger suck now and when she wants milk, she gets it out. I was so, so thankful! In the mean time, I've increased my lethicin intake to four pills a day. I'll back down to three pills once a two week window of being plug-free has passed.

I discovered board book pieces don't digest. It's a fairly obvious observation, but until I saw the remnants, I was unsure how it would look. She's getting more teeth and loves the feel of the board books in her mouth. She subsequently consumes the board. Our books look quite worn now. Frankly, I'm surprised I even saw any particles. I hold her over the toilet when she poops (it's been MONTHS since I actually changed a dirty diaper), but the evidence was visible. She still goes every 2-4 days and she makes it obvious that she's concentrating :-) I tell you, it's so much easier to clean her little bum when she goes in the toilet!

My guitar is now mounted on the wall like a piece of art. I would like to say that she has taken to music, but she just hit the thing. It's best that she doesn't have access to it. Besides, it's a nice wall decoration!
