Time flies!

The last time I saw my friend Erin, she had a newborn and I was still pregnant. It's been almost a year. That's hard for me to wrap my head around. Starsky hissed at her baby again and both cats were promptly quarantined upstairs. Starsky has also hissed at Madeline since then. We are concerned at this point and don't know what we're going to do. You can see that Hutch tolerates Madeline very well and I think he would have been fine with Elsie, but I don't trust Starsky.

At any rate, meet darling Elsie. With turquoise eyes and killer blonde curls.
She talked the majority of the day and it was adorable. I have no idea what she was saying, but she did say "A-E-I-O-U," which I think is advanced for a 13 month old. (And ever since Elsie left, Madeline has been talking much more!) It took Madeline a little while to really warm up to everyone, but once she realized there was someone her size, she immediately hung around Elsie. They swapped sippy cups and toys. Neither really grasped the concept of sharing, but they did enjoy each other and there wasn't really any crying.
The trip was excellent and I especially enjoyed the grown up talk with Daphne and Erin.
We were all clarinet players in Baylor's marching band and donned the Tau Beta Sigma letters. They both married Baylor folk and none of us live in Texas anymore. It's crazy to think that I graduated from college eight years ago and where people are now. With the help of Facebook, I've been able to reconnect to fabulous people I used to know. I look forward to meeting Erin's newest blessing soon (you'd never know she was pregnant in this picture, but she's due in about seven weeks!)

Thanks for visiting ladies!
