Here is Madeline with her "cousin" Noah. Noah is about four months older than our little miss and he could not get enough of her. Unfortunately, he was much more interested in her than she was in him, but I captured some adorable photos of these two darlings. He followed her around everywhere. He's gonna be a player :-)
This is Craig's dad with us. I totally didn't even try to wear my contacts. My eyes don't do well with contacts and I was finally told why I can't wear them at my last appointment. Well, I can wear them, but it would cost about $10 a day. Woah. At any rate, I obviously didn't remember to take off my glasses in all the photos. Whoops. I'm a glasses gal anyway :-)
I think this is my favorite photo of Madeline from the day. So sweet. And her grandpa totally wanted to walk her around outside. Jerry kept telling me that she still wanted to walk so he was going to walk her around some more. It was probably good for him to be outside seeing as he was giving away his last daughter that day. Here is Craig's
And me with Noah. I thought it would be funny to put Madeline's hair bow on his head (he has virtually NO hair). And I'll pause and say that this little guy loved me. I'm serious. He actually hopped down from his mama's lap at the reception and ran over to me when he saw me from across the room. Be still my heart. I will always have an available lap for you, Noah! You tell your mama that you can visit ANYTIME (you hear that, Lisa?!?).
I promise we are getting to the wedding...since we got to the church early to be available for pictures, I have quite a few pre-ceremony pics. Speaking of the wedding, this was my view the entire time. In the cry room. We could see and hear the ceremony from this room, but with three little ones (and Christopher, my 3+ year old nephew joining us later), we were pretty busy. I tried to stay with Madeline in the ceremony, but it was waaaaay past her bed time and she was not having it. She did really well considering she was so tired. All the little ones did!
Oh, and by the end of ceremony, there were Cheerios all over the floor.
We met Matt earlier, but here is his lovely wife, Summer. Jeff and Laura are to the right (and so is the little baby she's carrying! I can't wait to find out what she's having!).
OK, so let me talk about this reception a bit. Mackie and Foster know how to party. Seriously. After the wedding ceremony ended, I drove home to nurse Madeline and put her to bed while Craig went straight to the reception. The sitter showed up at our house and camped out while Madeline slept. I was able to enjoy the reception because I knew she would sleep better at home versus in the hotel. (And she did sleep the entire reception!). I got back to the reception around 10:20ish and dinner was just starting! This party didn't end until 1 a.m. I tell you, I am way too old to be up that late, but it was a hoot. Mackie and Foster's friends danced the night away. I realized we didn't get a picture with the lovely bride until it was almost over, so she paused mid-dance to pose with us.
Someone please tell my husband that he could dance, too. I didn't get a dance with him (he's really not big on dancing :-), but he did escort his sister around the floor. It was sweet.
And I seriously don't have any pictures of Josie (Craig's other sister). I think she took gobs of photos, so I'll have to get some photos from her...chasing around a toddler at a wedding makes it difficult to get photos of everyone. Carrying around the camera and diaper bag (stuffed full of toys to entertain her with), plus watching the actual toddler too, was a lot. But, I enjoyed myself and am thrilled that Mackie and Foster found each other. It is obvious that they are smitten with each other and we could not be happier for them. Congratulations!
