Our tree

Our tree this year is a little more kid friendly than last year's, don't you think?

We opted to leave the ornaments off our tree for a couple of reasons. Madeline doesn't understand the concept that there are things that she shouldn't mess with and the cats could get a little unruly. So, we put the tree up and left the ornaments in the attic.

The other night, I took Madeline over to the tree and placed one of her toys on a branch. She caught on to this very quickly and began handing me toys to place on the tree. I showed her that she could do it too, and well, the picture tells the story much better than I do. Click to enlarge the detail, it's pretty funny ;-)

I took a picture without the Madeline blur, but I thought it was funny to leave her running in the foreground. She was not impressed that I wasn't paying attention to her.

So there you have it. An ornament-less tree, but a toddler-decorated tree!

I think this is a very festive tree fully decorated, and none could be better! Christmas is for everyone, but so charming when kids have a hand in it.
