Not only am I very behind on this blog, but I'm also behind on the laundry, cleaning and regular work. The main reason I'm so behind on the blog is because I didn't spend more than an hour on the computer from December 24th - Jan 2. It was glorious and I'm already sick of the computer again. I didn't read blogs. I didn't check the deal-a-day sites I normally check. I didn't download pictures. And I didn't miss it. I DID spend time with family and friends, eat a ton and recoup from a nasty cold (that Madeline ended up getting).
In the spirit of being behind, I will be backdating a few posts and stay in 2010 a little while longer. I don't backdate posts because it's just not my style, but I have an inkling that I'll want to rediscover Christmas 2010 at some point and I won't think to look for it in January - so backdate it is.
In an effort to remain chronological, I will leave you with a few things.
1) Madeline has 14 teeth now. Chewing just got a lot more effective with four molars.
2) I miss the Texas weather and humidity. My skin is already drier now that we're back home.
3) Madeline isn't sleeping through the night anymore. Being ill and sleeping in a pack and play reverted her back to square one. She is sleeping much better now that we're home and I'm hopeful for her to resume sleeping through the night again soon. At least one can hope. It's not like she'd been doing it for all that long anyway.
4) Lastly, check out this burned tongue. Seriously. The details behind her getting her tongue burned aren't important, but let's just suffice it to say that I've never seen a burned tongue like this. Poor baby. It did heal almost completely in two days, and a mixture of Benadryl and Maalox seemed to help the healing process.
