Once upon a time not long ago, I used to make all our Christmas cards. Coming up with the idea took more effort than I care to admit. Assembling them took even more time, especially after I got married and sent them to Craig's family. He has lots of aunts and uncles and cousins. Lots and lots of them. I'd make 100 cards....
This year, I think I'll be lucky to get cards in the mail which would mean this is the first time in 8-10 years that I have not sent out cards. Time isn't on our side and we're busy. So, the current photograph at the top of the blog was snapped on Thanksgiving Day. We have flowers growing out of our heads...And Madeline wasn't smiling in one single picture, but it was taken with the intent of having a Christmas card photo.
Oh, and since then, I cut Madeline's bangs. Bad idea. Not only are they crooked, but it just doesn't look right. But she won't keep a clip in her hair and her poor face was covered up by her hair, so I chopped it. I actually don't want her to have bangs and had every intent on just growing them out, but since she won't keep a clip in her hair to keep her face clear of hair, I caved and took matters in my own hands. I swear I didn't cut much off...but it sure did make a difference. I'm just hoping she doesn't look like her bangs go to the middle of her head, ifyouknowwhatimean.
