There have been a few noteworthy, and thus card worthy occasions, recently. And by recently, I mean in the past four months. First up, a baby shower. I honestly didn't spend much time on this card and it did look cuter in person. I had a go-to design for years and years, but the embellishments I used cannot be found anywhere anymore and I have not been creative enough to come up with another go-to design. I did recently get a homemade baby card from Katie's mom, so I may swipe the design :-)
For Mother's day, I made three different cards with the same design. It's much easier to replicate a design versus coming up with one. I really liked the way these turned out. I copied a template from a card making book and went to work. This first one went to my mom, because it was my favorite one!
This next one went to my mother-in-law. I do love this polka dot paper.
This one went to my Granny because I thought it looked most like my Granny!
It's amazing the stash of stuff that I have and what it can turn into. When Erin was over here the other day, we moved all my scrap booking stuff and when I physically move it all, I realize how much I have. The amount of paper I've accumulated over the years is mind-boggling. I tend to only buy things on sale or with a coupon and I don't buy fancy tools unless I can see multiple uses for them. I do think there is a lot of stuff out there that I have no idea about. I miss the scrapbook store I went to in Oklahoma City. I have yet to find one here that can teach me new tricks!Here's hoping I can break out my supplies more in the future. There are a few birthdays in the family coming up, so I may need to get to work!

What's the name of the scrapbook store in OKC? My sister-in-law is a crazy-go-nuts scrapbooker and if it's a good store, I'd love to get her a gift certificate for her birthday!
Are you talking about Scrapbooks from the Heart? I LOVE that store. Kim, who now owns it I think, used to teach a great card class that I went to for the longest time. I go in there almost everytime I go to OKC.... and that's where I bought my Silhouette SD! ;)
Too bad all we have here in Abilene is Hobby Lobby and Michael's.
You are welcome to use "my" baby card design-I don't remember it exactly but I probably copied a design from a scrapbook or card magazine. I have very few original ideas, but do a pretty fair job of "scraplifting"!

Yes, it was Scrapbooks from the Heart! I have yet to find another store that compares to it! Hobby Lobby and Michael's are my go-to stores now. :-(
my co-worker warned me about the ad valorem tax! I'm still miffed I have to pay income tax here even though my employer is in Texas! I am keeping my car registered in Texas as long as I can....
