It's so nice...

...to put Madeline down for the night and listen to her coo in the monitor until she's ready to actually sleep. I love the cooing. It's a VERY welcome sound since we went through a rough go with things before. If I could only make nap time work so well! But I will accept the night time cooing with open arms!

Now, if I could only convince her to not scoot all over creation in her crib. Inevitably, she winds up wedging her head in a very awkward position or facing perpendicular to the position I placed her in to begin with. Pretty soon she's not going to fit in the crib that way.

Haha. I remember when Elsie started moving around the crib. I would put her down at one end (crosswise so she had more room to roll) and by the time I got back to our bedroom, I would hear her playing with the rattle that we keep in the crib (at the opposite end from where I place her) for when she wakes up in the morning. She covered the distance in no time flat and would have turned all willy-nilly to boot. As M gets longer, she'll cover less distance and be in less awkward positions. No worries. :)

She's been scooting for a long time (especially during the day when I put her on her belly - I did that from the beginning practically). But now??? She is ALL over the crib! I went in there the other night and her face was SMASHED against the railing but her body was in this contorted position...poor thing was so uncomfortable and I honestly have NO idea how she put herself in that position. She definitely has not figured out how to un-stick herself!
