Since I finally figured out how to download and upload videos from our Flip, I'm going bore all of you (ha! I say that like I have a ton of readers, pffft!) with some videos.
Here's a long one (2 minutes), and I look horrid (hey, cut me a break, I had had a baby 4 days prior!).
A few things I remember about this day.
- Madeline didn't fall asleep until we left, so she was actually awake for more than an hour. Everyone just commented on how alert she was for a newborn and I was deceived in thinking this was a good thing! haha! Our little sweet pea was alert A LOT!
- SHE TOOK A PACIFIER! AND WE HAVE VIDEO EVIDENCE! Had I known that taking it away from her would keep her from remembering how to keep it in her mouth, I would have never taken it away. I begged and begged her to take the darn thing and purchased every type out there. Phooey with nipple confusion! My next child will be introduced to the lovely silencer in the hospital and continue to be given it :-)
-"We got a kid that's too big" hahaha. Those are Craig's words, not mine. She's actually leveled out and isn't putting on weight as fast as she did in the beginning and *gasp* will actually fit into some 6 month clothing. Although the 9-12 (and beyond) fit her better. She really is long and wearing cloth diapers makes her fit bigger clothing.
- Her outfit. It was the one and only time she wore it. It was newborn size and she really didn't wear any newborn clothing. I was given some other clothing to bring her home in, but it was the wrong season and T-I-N-Y.
- Craig is just plain funny with the tiny Madeline.
We're GOING HOME!!!!!
