Well, we've have successfully attended church the past two Sundays. It's not a huge accomplishment really, but it is, you know?
What's even better is that I volunteered both Sundays. And I loved it. I asked my readers how they did it - going to church with babies that napped. Most alluded that I needed to do what was best for my family, etc. I get that, totally, and it was a great reason to excuse myself from trying to volunteer when I go to church. But I thought long and hard, and prayed about, how I was going to return to church and decided that I needed to volunteer. I know I need to be spiritually fed in order to be a good mother and volunteering to sing to 2nd and 3rd graders is some good eatin'. The people I serve with are amazing and I am held accountable. The kids are something else, too. I love the fact that I can see their innocence and starvation for the Lord. I felt at home the moment I walked into the kids area of the church.
It will be a balancing act every Sunday, but I am loving it so far. It's great to be back in the swing of things!

I'm so glad you found a way to make it back to church! As I've found, parenting (particularly the working mom routine) is a balancing act in and of itself, so what's one more thing thrown in? :)
