I've been
trying to take weekly belly shots since 12 weeks and
trying to set up the tripod in the same place. I am obviously off a little, and there have been times when I forget to take the picture at exactly weekly intervals, but you get the idea that I am growing. I am wearing maternity pants so they will grow with me and I plan to wear this in every picture. I like the fact that I am showing skin, simply because it actually captures growth. Otherwise, you really could not tell a difference. My friend,
Jen, took similar shots with her first child and I thought they were really beautiful (seriously, check out her link!). I am kind of copying her :-) This process should make for an interesting flip book! I do feel bigger now, than in these pictures and Craig even mentioned last night that I look like I have a belly now. It's weird how overnight I seem to have grown; and my abs are already shot. I always prided myself in my rock hard abs...I wonder if I'll ever be able to get them back!

There is a baby in there, I promise! I am tall and everything that I've read says that most women really are not showing much by the 16th week if it's the first pregnancy. I assure you that I have gained weight steadily already and I can certainly tell the difference, especially when I try to wear my clothes!
I cannot even imagine what I will look like at 40 weeks...

There's a link. :-)
Too cute! So happy for you guys, still!
I probably should take mine. I think I show as much as you or more, but then again, I didn't have rock hard abs to begin with. :-)
I couldn't imagine what I would look like at 40 weeks, either (and now that I'm 34 weeks, can't imagine getting much bigger, though I know I will!).
When Eli and I went to Motherhood Maternity at around 22 weeks to get some maternity pants for me to wear to work, they made me stuff this belly pillow in my pants to simulate the belly in different stages. We were laughing so hard that I'm sure the sales lady thought we were doing something naughty!
Becky - you're so incredibly tiny, that's why you're showing more! I am also sure you're adorable!
The thing is... with each boy, the belly got BIGGER. So with #3 I was ready to burst. Oh, and I started "showing" sooner and my belly button was totally shot after #1. I guess it didn't help (the belly, that is) that #3 was a 9 pounder. So I look at that belly of mine that you linked to and think, OH how TINY and CUTE! (even at 40 weeks) -- I didn't do this with the last two on purpose. I looked like that 40 week picture at 35 weeks with #2 and around 28 weeks with #3. If I'd have done that with #3, I think I'd gross a few people out (myself included).
Time to go rescue the wailing #3 from his jail, ah, I mean crib.
You look great! I can't believe how small you are. Are you exercising throughout your pregnancy, too? I have read that there's a difference between the way short and tall ladies carry-mainly, short ladies' bellies have nowhere to go but OUT!! ha ha Sounds like you are enjoying yourself! :)
Yeah, I was way bigger with #2 than #1. My largest maternity clothing with #1 was too small by 8 months, at least...and didn't get worn at all because December clothing in July/August just doesn't work!!! And not that I had them before, but you can get your abs back....
it's so cute (to me) that you and becky are going through yr pregnancies at the same time. knocked up pigbutts!!!
