Our first anniversary!

I have so many things to say and I know I won't do any justice. If your read this blog, then you probably know that Craig and I exchanged vows a year ago today. One year of marriage...I cannot believe it. The time has flown by!

I am incredibly grateful for Craig. He truly is the most wonderful man to be married to and it's amazing to think that I love him more now than I did a year ago. During the past year, many people have asked if Craig and I have had our "first big fight." I don't know why that was such a common question, but it has been. I guess the transition to sharing a closet, living spaces, rationing hot water and all the other things that come with a roommate, can create tension and ultimately a fight. The true answer is that we have not "had the big one." I'm not saying we get along 100% of the time - Craig constantly picks up my shoes after me and I constantly turn off lights after him. These little things are certainly not cause to fight.

Craig tucks my feet back in my blanket when they are cold, he starts a raging fire - first thing - when we go to the cabin in the cold winter months so I can start to heat up, he whispers in my ear when I am half asleep how much he loves me, he leaves me notes on the white board, he turns off his alarm very fast in the mornings so I don't wake up, he's sensitive to my small bladder, he always kills the bugs, he doesn't care that I can never make it through a late-night movie, he lets me pick out the beverage when we share a drink, he's constantly thinking of me, my feelings and needs...and there's so much more. Our marriage is certainly blessed by the Lord. So here's to the next year and many, many more to come!
