World of Coke, world of fun

Every year since Craig's dad remarried into a family with two girls, Craig has made an effort to spend time with his sisters. They were in high school when it started and they have both graduated from college now, but the tradition continues. I believe it started when Craig really had no idea what to get them for Christmas and he genuinely wanted to spend time with Josie and Mackie to get to know them. As a result, he gave them money - with the condition that he was the one who took them shopping. Can you picture Craig spending a day at the mall with two high school girls? Yeah, me neither. At any rate, year after year, Craig gave Josie and Mackie a gift that required time with them being together. This past year, the gift was a trip to the new World of Coke museum at Pemberton Place.

Craig and Josie recognized the Chilean flag (which resembles the Texas flag VERY closely). So, in honor of their heritage, we posed a picture underneath a Chilean marketing poster.I, the newest Georgia resident, had actually visited the new Coke museum about a year ago, but neither Craig nor Josie had been there. We started out the museum by viewing the 4-D film. It's actually really neat, akin to a roller coaster with wind, water and even a poke in the back! Granted, the story line is super-uber cheesy, and the kids next to Craig were screaming when a 3-D ferret came bouncing off the screen, but it was still fun! Then it was off to experience the rest of the museum and taste the Coke products from around the world. I still think the gift shop should sell the drinks in 20 oz. bottles because I would have certainly bought a few. I guess if I want to taste Coke from around the world, I'll have to go back to the museum...sticky floors and all. Just imagine a summer crowd of school-age kids running around hyped up on sugar and caffeine spilling soda on the floor.

I took some cheesy photos...but this one is my favorite. There is a wall of people who tell their story of how Coke has inspired, helped, changed, etc. their lives. And no, I don't have any idea how Coke changes the Galapagos turtle's life.
While viewing the novelty Coke items throughout the years I kept hearing burping. Craig and Josie didn't hear it, but I did. I thought I was going crazy with all the burping going on around me. Still, no one else heard it. Turns out, there was an antique soda dispensing machine that simulated a person drinking a Coke...and burping very loudly afterwards. So I was not going crazy after all, I just have alert ears to burping.

After the museum we enjoyed a tasty dinner at P.F. Chang's. Yummy, yummy! Yay Coke and yay food!

At EPCOT they have a Coke store and you can try the different flavors from different countries. Some of them were extremely odd... I could barely drink most of them and you want to buy 20 oz bottles?

I would want to share the grossness of the weird cokes around the world with my family and friends...I would only want to drink a few of them myself...

Mexican Coca Cola, now THAT is da bomb! And I miss PFChangs like crazy. Totally not a place I'd take the boys so we haven't been there in FOREVER... now you've got me craving a coke from Mexico and a dinner from PFChangs. **drool**
