Well, I got my weekend!
And what a weekend it was. Busy. Full. And we totally catered to Madeline, which is what I wanted to do. Enjoy what will probably (hopefully) be the last weekend we will ever have as just Madeline's parents.
I have pictures on the camera which I'll add later, but we went to the aquarium. She's never been and She. Was. In. Love. Craig took the reigns with Madeline because I'm so slow moving, but I really enjoyed watching Madeline and Craig interact. I never tire seeing the world through my child's eyes. It is a simple mentality and yet full of wonder and awe. A "big pish!!!" and "ooh, udder one!!!!!" sparked such excitement it was such a joy to watch.
We skipped church Sunday because I'm exhausted and Madeline is coming down with something (pray I do not get what she has!). We snuggled in bed for a really long time and then did two of Madeline's favorite things...go to PetSmart and Costco. She seriously loves both places. We needed to run errands and a trip to see the doggies and kitty cats and geckos and guinea pigs and pish and birdies is always welcome in my two-year-olds eyes.
But I have to be honest. I'm not feeling so hot. In fact, I've been feeling lousy for about a week now. I'm so ready to have this baby now. Apparently, I carry babies to full term. Very full term! I went into labor on a Monday with Madeline. Really early Monday, so maybe it will happen again.
I've been having lots of Braxton hicks the past week. Short but really uncomfortable contractions. I just pray I have the energy to labor naturally and that it doesn't last more than a day. That's not an easy thing to do...I know, I've done it! But we shall see. If you're reading this, please pray for a safe VBAC.
The waiting game continues...come on Gabe!!!!!
And please ignore any typos. I'm typing on the iPad...not easy, but I can do it in bed!
